What is AFK:

AFK is a feature that can be enabled and Disabled from the Control Panel. If AFK is enabled then it is used to set up a display Warning message and Timeout Message on the user session which has been idle for the time set in the Control Panel AFK warn Timeout(minutes) and AFK Close Timeout(minutes).

If IsAFKenabled is not selected in AFK, then the Warn timeout and Close timeout doesn't apply.

To configure the AFK feature in the Control Panel follow these steps:

Step 1. Configure The AFK

1.1 Select application (EX:carConfiguration427) from Apps list (image 1).

1.2 Select Config file (Ex: AlekseenkoConfig) to edit from Config Selection drop-down and click on Edit (image 2).

1.3 Select the edit button (image 3).

1.4 Click on the Session tab ( image 4).

1.5 Set AFK warn Timeout(Minutes) and AFK closeTimeout(Minutes) time on Session Options tab (image 5).

Example: 0.2 mins (AFK warnTimeout) 0.4 mins (AFK closeTimeout).

1.6 Click the Save button.

NOTE: Make sure that after every change you click on Save button.

Failing to do so the changes wont be saved.

Step 2. Check that the AFK Works Correctly

AFK feature can be verified in the front end of the 3d eagle streaming application. When the user is idle in the session then the AFK warnTimeout(Minutes) works and waits till the AFK closeTimeout session and terminates the session. If not actions are performed by mouse and keyboard. Users can continue the session by click on anywhere on the screen and continuing the session.

2.1 Launch 3D application.

2.2 Queue screen displays with count down 1,2,3 and Car configuration displays.

2.3 If the session is idle for the time set in the Control Panel, the AFK warnTimeout(Minutes) then displays a warning message ‘Are you still streaming?’ continue streaming (AFK timeout) button displays (image 7).

2.4 The count down displays in the popup and when the AFK close timeout reaches the session it terminates and the user is kicked out of the session.

2.5 Timeout Screen displays and the user should be able to launch the application in a new tab.

AFK is applicable even when the tab is minimized.
