Learn to set the resolution of your App.

Prepare to execute instructions

Make sure to :

  1. Have an Unreal Engine Project.

  2. Enable the Pixel Streaming plugin Enable the Pixel Streaming plugin

  3. Package your Application from Unreal Engine Package your Project from Unreal Engine

  4. Have access to the https://newcontrolpanel.eagle3dstreaming.com/ .

  5. Have an Eagle 3D’s User Account Create an Account on the New Control Panel

  6. Understand all the features of your New Control Panel Get to know the New Interface

  7. Upload your App on the Control Panel Upload your Project on the new Control Panel

Instructions

You should have at least one App uploaded Upload your Project on the new Control Panel

Step 1. Sign In to your Control Panel

1. Login with your information https://newcontrolpanel.eagle3dstreaming.com/

Step 3. Generate a Streaming Link

Step 4. Create a Config

Create a Config for each Streaming Link

Step 5. Edit the Config

Edit your Config

Step 6. Choose the Resolution from the Drop Down Menu

1. Select Dynamic

The Dynamic Resolution value is set by default from Unreal Engine.

Tip : enable the Dynamic feature to set a Full Screen for your App and get rid of the black borders on both sides of the screen.

2. Select Custom

Tip : The higher the resolution, the sharper the image is. 1280 x 720 is recommended.

Sharper details and quality requires more data bandwidth so, a fast and stable internet connection to avoid lagging, latency or quality degradation.

3. Type the desired resolution in the boxes

For Dynamic resolution, this is set to 720p by default (from Unreal Engine).

4. Click Save

5. Click Save (again)

Step 7. Run the App to check the resolution

1. Click Play App

2. You can input any resolution of your choice

Check the Video Resolution from the Quality Control Kit Quality Control Menu

Note :

As the Dynamic feature is set by default from Unreal Engine to 720p.

There is a way to use JavaScript to read the resolution of the users screen size, then send it to the Eagle3D control panel to create a new config file (which would generate a new bespoke weblink for the user.

We have created a JS console CMD to send to Unreal Engine to change it.

The resolution will not be affected by the iframe’s website server speed.

Find out the webpage size then use the CMD to set the Unreal resolution.
