Instructions

Step1. Create a Development Build before Packaging the app from UE

Open UE editor → File → Package Project → Build Configuration → Development/Debug.

Choose ‘'Development’' or ‘'Debug’' as your ‘'Build Configuration’' before Packaging your app from UE to generate Logs and allow our system to capture them.

Step2. Enable the feature ‘Print UE4 Log in Browser Console’ from the Control Panel

Go to: Control Panel → Edit → Developer Options → Print UE4 Log in Browser Console → Save.

Select your Build configuration as “Development” or “Debug” in order to generate Logs on your device and for our system to capture them. Refer to this document to get more details on each Build Configuration.

Instructions

Step 1. Creating a Development Build

Open UE editor > File > Package Project > Build Configuration > Development/Debug.

Step 2. Enabling the setting from the Control Panel

  1. Go to: Old Control Panel.

  2. In Step 2: Select a Config, click Edit Config and navigate to Developer Option.

  3. Enable Print UE Log in Browser Console and click Save.

Warnings ⚠️

Note

Displaying logs to a user located far from the server may cause:

  • Connection issues due to poor network quality and the large volume of logs being transmitted.

  • Latency issues if the user has a limited internet connection.

We recommend disabling the ‘Print UE Log in Browser Console’ feature in your config unless necessary.

Excessive console logs can degrade performance, slow down the stream, and increase browser resource usage. Disable the ‘Print UE Log in Browser Console’ setting to optimize the streaming experience.

If your application crashes, you will see the errors in the Logs on your Console and the red error message on the app during runtime : ‘'App crashed. So redirecting you in 3 sec to re-establish connection’'.

Step 5. Saving the log on your device

Right-click on the error from the Log and log to save it on your desktop anywhere you want.

Important Notes:

  1. Showing log to a user far away from the server user is connected might create connection issue due in poor stable connection to huge amount of log coming from far.

  2. Latency issue too if user has limited internet.

  3. So, we recommend disabling it in your config if it’s not needed.
